The Engineering Case Library

This is a hypertext version of the catalogue of the cases held by The Center for Case Studies in Engineering at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. This hypertext version was developed and is maintained by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University.

Scope of Catalog

This lists cases available from the ASEE Engineering Case Program. The cases are accounts of real engineering work written for use in engineering education. New cases will be listed and abstracted on change sheets which will be mailed at irregular intervals and then added to each new edition of the catalog.

Classification

A synoptic classification of cases by disciplines, areas and suggested assignments has been developed. You may use this classification scheme to search for relevant case abstracts.

Reprint Rights

The cases are subject to copywrite regulations. Permission to reproduce must be obtained through ASEE by requesting permission from the Center for Case Studies in Engineering. Permission to reproduce cases for educational purposes will be sent with each order. Normally only one copy of each case will be sent although The Center can make and bind copies of the cases upon request. Therefore, professors who would rather reproduce cases for their classes may do so.
